So glad you did this, Cliff. You are treating Dan R. like the hero he was.
I hope one day we will see a statue to him and his work somewhere in his homeland.
Keep up the good work,
Ron MacInnis, writer, narrator, Vanishing Cape Breton Fiddler

Fabulous stuff Cliff! You've done a bang-up job. BTW, there is a small typo - Sabra MacGillivray is accidently shown as Sabre - she may be on the cutting edge but isn't edgy herself!

Cliff:
WOW. This is great. The last time I saw Dan R. was at a concert in Port Hood at the old parish hall in 1968 where he played the fiddle and I sang a few songs. I got to speak to him backstage afterwards. What memories. (I think Mary Janet MacDonald had arranged the concert possibly as a fundraiser for the Parish...Not sure. ) I still remember the fashion show where the local guys modelled women's clothing. Have pictures of theat and of myself but don't have pictures of Dan R. I guess I did not know the impact he had and continue to have on scottish music.

Looks great Cliff! Can't wait to read it! I had no idea the Red Shoe used to be Dan R's house! Looking forward to making many new discoveries when your magnum opus is finished. E
